Copywriting

Decks, bibles, YouTube videos — you ask I'll do it. Below is a sample of some of the client work I've done over the last few years.

How to Beat

Reviewed and analyzed 30+ videos that accumulated over 25 million views. As a writer for How To Beat, I watched various films and identified 6-8 strategies to "beat" the villain in each. Creating these videos required extensive research on survival tactics, ancient mythology, and modern technology to develop the most creative ways to survive the film. Many viewers watched these videos because they were too scared to watch the movies themselves. As a result, summarizing the film and making it accessible to a global audience was an essential part of the writing style. Each video ranged from 25 to 30 minutes long and took approximately a week to produce.

Craft Services

Craft Services is a global writing network founded by Nicholas Weinstock, executive producer of Severance. As a member of the program, I developed close relationships with several team members and have since begun assisting with a newsletter. Each edition covers events happening in the program, as well as, industry news from around the globe that's relevant to it's members. The newsletter aims to foster a sense of community and highlight its members' successes.

NYC Midnight

During NYC Midnight's 2024 screenwriting competition, I served as a judge. I was entrusted with reading scripts written by screenwriters of all ages and experience levels, providing helpful yet constructive feedback. The competition assigns writers a combination of three elements that must be incorporated into their story within a set time frame. Based on their scores, writers either progress to the next round or wait for another competition to begin. NYC Midnight is a unique competition because it encompasses multiple writing styles and provides feedback more quickly than the average screenwriting competition.

The Weekenders

Provided 8+ hours of notes per day to Vanessa Alexander and her screenwriting partner for an Australian television bible called 'The Weekenders.' The series was a female driven crime drama focusing on a murder that transpired in the detective's home town. The series was intended to highlight the conflict between the aboriginal community of New Zealand and local settlers that have taken over and destroyed the wildlife in the surrounding area.
